Come out and support us cries Adams

Vale fans have voted by not snapping up season tickets like they did last season, a year ago Vale had sold 6,400, but this time around the figure is more like 3,850. This is partly due to 11 home defeats last term and poor displays leaving the club in 18th position at the end of the season.

But Adams is now asking the fans to look forward to a new season instead of dwelling on the past, this time things will be brighter.

Adams told the Sentinel: "When a season starts, fans are generally upbeat and optimistic about their team's chances in the league.

"I would expect the Vale fans to be no different, but if we continue in the vein we did last year, we've got no chance.

"We're talking about the team, which is the most important thing, but the fans can play a massive part in us trying to turn around the club's fortunes.

"If we are ever going to be successful, we have to get our home form right.

"So I would want the fans to come with an open mind, give everybody a chance and see what we can do."
