Foyle: A Hard Earned Victory

Bees keeper Stuart Nelson made a hash of a Michael Cummins 25-yard shot
that gave Vale maximum points and saw them leapfrog The Bees and move into second place in the League One table.

"I told the players they would be in for a very hard game and that is what they got. I also thought one goal would probably decide it," Foyle said after the game at Vale Park.

"I know their keeper has made a boo boo but I don't care how the goal has gone in. I'm just pleased to get another three points.

"My players have worked tremendously hard, especially the two strikers who were isolated for much of the time. It was a very hard earned victory.

"We aren't getting carried away with our start to the season, but we do feel optimistic as a group because we feel we are a better side than we were last year."
