Adams is looking to boost his squad after a slip down the table, the rest of the squad went on the transfer list at the weekend after losing to Notts County.
Jarrett has joined the squad until December 28th after enjoying a good trial period with Vale after being released by Brighton at the end of last season.
Adams told the club's official website: "He is hungry to get involved at Port Vale and I know he will be eager to earn his chance here."
Jarrett goes straight into Adams' squad for Tuesday night's home clash against Accrington.
