But with Micky Adams' side battling to sneak into the play-off places over the remaining nine games, McCombe knows the stakes are higher than usual.
"Obviously we are a bit down about not getting all three points against Cheltenham. We thought we needed that to keep up with the other play-off hopefuls," he told the club's official website.
"We will go back to the drawing board and we have Crewe next week, which is a massive game for us. We are going to go into that positively and get three points.
"There are nine games left and quite a lot of points to play for. We have to keep going. Hopefully, a few teams will slip up and we will put a good run together between now and the end of the season and get the points we need."
