The 21-year-old linked up with Vale towards the end of November, where he made four appearances and scored one goal during his month-long stay.

But Rigg, who has already admitted he would consider a permanent switch in the summer, will now remain with the League Two club until May 8.

Fellow Rovers team-mate Lewis Haldane also recently rejoined Vale on loan until the end of the campaign.
