"We've said in the past that maybe we haven't had the experience to handle these away games, and dealing with the crowds," Collins told the club's official website.
"But we can't use that as an excuse any more, because we have got the experience in the team.
"I think it just comes from within, having that mentality to do your job and defend properly."
