Vale 2 Lincoln 1

In a superb second half, Vale tore Lincoln apart and gained their first win in 6.

City took an easy lead in less than 3 minutes from a careless free-kick - Gavin McCallum taking advantage.

Vale took 59 minutes of going through the gears before they finally equalised - Marc Richards finally getting a decent cross from Kris Taylor, and heading home for his 100th goal.

But Doug Loft stole the show. He pranced forward, leaving defenders for dead, dipped to his left, and curled a ball past the keeper and into the top corner. One of the goals of the season, and it brought the house down.

Vale back up to 7th, a play-off position. But it's tight at the top. Vale are 3 points off a promotion spot, but only 5 points separate 8 teams.
