Point Pleases Adams

A sickness bug swept through the camp before the game and several players were taken ill.

And during the game, the visitors enjoyed as much, if not more possession but it was Vales that took the lead through Marc Richards just before half time.

But the Cheltenham fans had something to celebrate on 66 minutes when Michael Pook fired home from 25 yards.

"All in all I've got to be very pleased with what we have produced. A lot of the players have been ill all week and we've had very little preparation for this match”. Adams said.

"I thought we were looking comfortable at 1-0, but we needed to get that second goal to push us over the line and it didn't come, Cheltenham came back at us and sometimes you have to take a point when it comes along and move on.

"We are delighted with Marc Richards' contribution to the team and that's three goals from him in the last four games. All strikers thrive on goals and he's thriving at the moment."
