Port Vale face Luton on opening day

Port Vale travel to Luton Town on Saturday August 9th for the opening league game of the 2008 / 2009 season. Vale will also close the season on the road with the final game of the campaign at Barnet on Saturday May 2nd 2009.

The one significant Christmas fixture sees Vale travel to Chesterfield on Boxing Day.
