Sinnott cannot defend the indefensible

Lee Sinnott started his post match reaction in a philosophical vein. It didn't take long though for the comedy element of Vale's performance to be recognised.

"Football waits for no man, that's probably the best way I can term it. If you are not careful, you can be out of the game in 12 or 18 months. Delve into that the way you wish.

"I think we saw two teams today, one showed the right attributes and one didn't. That is the first time I can say that since I have been here. Although results have been disappointing, I have defended them. But I can't defend the indefensible, otherwise you make yourself out to be a plank."
