Ross Davidson has already gone out on loan to Stafford Rangers from Saturday, while also being made available for loan or permanent transfer are Luke Prosser, Danny Edwards, Steve Thompson, David Howland and Danny Glover.
Adams said: "I want to free up some funds to bring in some of my own players.
"I think the squad is lacking in certain areas and I don't want to sound disrespectful to the players we have here, but I have given everybody a go in pre-season and these players, at this moment in time, are surplus to requirements."
