A disappointing campaign that has ended in relegation and in the middle of it saw Vale knocked out of the cup in a giant killing shock at Chasetown, ends at Roots Hall this afternoon.

Southend's Lee Barnard, Gary Hooper and Damian Scannell are vying to for starts against Vale.

Hal Robson-Kanu (Achilles) could return but boss Steve Tilson is be without Lewis Hunt (hernia), Che Wilson (Achilles) and Richie Foran (knee).

Kyle Perry could start for Port Vale but Robin Hulbert (shoulder), Shane Tudor (knee) and Colin Miles (medial ligament) are sidelined.

Luke Rodgers (ankle) is a doubt but Joe Anyon has declared himself fit.
