Morecambe 1 Vale 0

In a ludicrous game, Vale failed to convert any of their zillion chances and thus fell to second place...again.

But although Morecambe had fewer chances, they only needed to take one. It fell to Kieran Charnock, on emergency loan from Torquay, who swept the ball home from close range for his first ever league goal.

A poor cross, a heal-flick, a chest and mis-hit volley, and a DEFENDER (Charnock) there to finish. Just a joke. But 1-0 on 27 minutes.

Marc Richards, Rob Taylor, Doug Loft, Justin Richards...they all missed a load of good chances. It seemed easier for Vale to win by 4-1 than lose by 1-0. Crazy.

And now time for a snow break!
