The first event of the game came as late as the 45th minute when lowly Northampton's Abdul Osman was red-carded for a 2-footed tackle on Anthony Griffiths, who was replaced by Justin Richards.
Second half chances fell for Marc Richards (tipped over), Justin Richards (saved at feet), and Louis Dodds, who had the best chance when he hit the bar late on.
